What I Do

" Life isn't about finding yourself. It's about creating yourself."

George Bernard Shaw

Holistic Strategies

Life coaching is a service that combines mentoring, consultation, and talk therapy. While it isn't a mental health profession, it serves as a catalyst for continued positive change in a clients life.

Some people think that life coaching is the same as counseling, which it isn't. Life coaching should in no way be used to take the place of counseling or psychotherapy and in some cases, a life coach may even refer a client to see a psychologist or counselor to help deal with some underlying issues. Life coaching, on the other hand, focuses on getting you out of your head and into a more positive and fulfilling future. Our job is not to tell you what you want, but to help you figure that out yourself and then figure out how to make it happen while supporting you along the way.

Personally, I focus on a few specific areas of coaching needs. These specialties include Relationship Coaching, Body Image Coaching, Personal Life coaching, Organization Coaching, Goal/Success Coaching, Accountability Coaching, and Creativity Coaching.

Sessions are currently $55 and last an hour. While one time "strategy sessions" can be beneficial for some, I always recommend more than one session to really delve in to finding the best plan of action and providing that continued support for my clients.

Coaching sessions can also be ran remotely through the magic of technology. Please feel free to email me for more details or if you have any other questions.

“However beautiful the strategy,
you should occasionally
look at the results.”

Winston Churchill

Recently, the label of "holistic" has been thrown around different industries more as a buzz word than as an actual strategy. So what does it actually mean? Holistic refers to the "whole" of being. approaching problems and solving them holistically simply means that the problem is being seen through multiple lenses, or pillars. In the simplest of terms, there are three main holistic pillars:

1. The Physical

2. The Mental

3. The Spiritual

In my life coaching practice, I address all three of these pillars within my line of questions and within the strategies used to aid you in your journey. What does this look like?

Say a client comes to me who is having issues accomplishing the goals she sets for herself. After spending some time asking important questions, I may have found that she has been ignoring the spiritual side of herself and creating a wall there that is impeding her progress. In that situation, we might discuss something as simple as gratitude. I might ask her to start a gratitude journal, and spend some time really thinking about the things she has already achieved in life and really feeling grateful for those things. Just that practice alone can start to unblock that area within, allowing ourselves to really sharpen those tools that we need to create a life we love.
